Radio Sur was the Guayana radio station that the movement's memory records as an unconditional ally of miniteca culture. According to the direct testimony gathered by the CMTK Archive, the station backed the region's minitecas without reservation: the dial as the sounding board of a scene that filled the clubs and halls of Ciudad Guayana.
That role of allied radio station was decisive at the time: radio announced the events, played the hits that would later explode on the dance floor, and lent its voice and its airtime to the mobile sound brands. In a region with a circuit as active as Guayana's —Hot Music, Holiday, Infierno Sweet and so many others—, having a station on that side was part of the ecosystem.
