What we know so far
From the state of Aragua, Canto del Cisne was —in the words of La Revista de las Minitecas— a miniteca “that has been and will be one of the best in Venezuela,” remembered for its countless shows.
Canto del Cisne was based in Maracay and was a respected name within the Venezuelan miniteca circuit: other minitecas of the era mention it among the greats they measured themselves against in gatherings and guerras de minitecas, the sound clashes of the movement. The details of its year of founding, its founders, its discjockeys (now DJs) and its equipment, however, remain pending documentary verification and are not included here until they can be confirmed with direct sources.
