A miniteca from Ciudad Guayana
The story of 350, known by the motto “La Excelencia,” begins in the early 1980s in Ciudad Guayana (state of Bolívar). It started as a small project that, as time went on, consolidated itself as one of the largest minitecas in the city and the one with the greatest number of shows.
Over its career, 350 represented the state of Bolívar in countless guerras de minitecas —the sound clashes of the movement— and festivals, holding high the name of its beloved Ciudad Guayana. Its constancy on stage made it a regional benchmark within the Venezuelan miniteca movement.
Mr. “Cali,” its creator
At the head of the miniteca there has always been its creator and owner, known as Mr. “Cali,” together with his group of discjockeys and his technical staff. According to the account recorded in the magazine, to speak of 350 La Excelencia is to speak of “one of the best minitecas in Venezuela.”
