What we know so far

Ambitus was one of the minitecas of the golden era of the Venezuelan miniteca movement. La Revista de las Minitecas itself openly acknowledges that it was unable to document its run: “it is a shame that we have nothing to offer of its history,” the publication admits, having been left “awaiting its history.”

The verifiable information about Ambitus is, for now, very scarce. It is remembered as part of the group of minitecas that marked the golden era in Venezuela. While we gather accounts, the details of its city of origin, its year of founding, its founders, its discjockeys and its equipment remain pending documentary verification; they are not included here until they can be confirmed with direct sources.
