The discjockey (now DJ) is that craftsman of sound able to read the pulse of the dance floor and turn it into a musical experience of its own. More than a turntable operator, he is a performer who talks to his audience through mixes, cuts and transitions that set the tempo of the night.

In miniteca culture and in the nightlife scene, the discjockey was — and still is — the creative engine that drives the party, joining technique and instinct to build atmospheres that cannot be repeated.
