“La Cueva del Lobo” was a show broadcast by La Mega Estación in the 90s. Its most solid trace is, curiously, a christening: the miniteca Flash (founded as a project in 1987) decided in 1993 to join the name of the radio show to its own —taken from Flash Gordon— and became the Loboteca Flash, the miniteca of the howl, which has an entry of its own in this Archive's Minitecas: Mobile Power portfolio. Miniteca memory agrees: Flash had an alliance with La Megaestación when they were broadcasting “La Cueva del Lobo,” and that is why it was called “la loboteca.”
What is known and what is missing
Two independent sources attest to the alliance (the magazine and the community of miniteca memory), and they agree on the mechanics of the name. Of the show itself, on the other hand, almost everything is missing: host, exact years, time slot and format have not been located in verifiable sources. One community source places it on La Megaestación's 95.7 FM signal (the network's regional frequency, distinct from the 107.3 of Caracas), a detail recorded with reservation.
