Gregorio Bello, known on the scene as “Goyito”, came from the miniteca Infierno Sweet, one of the crews of early-eighties Guayana. According to the direct testimony collected by the CMTK Archive, together with Carlos Simoza he planned the Hot Music stage: the staging that turned a platform into a spectacle.
His specialty was effects: gunpowder special effects, rotating spot lights and a bubble machine — resources that in the early eighties amounted to a genuine innovation in the region's miniteca scene. While the discjockeys (now DJ) mixed facing the crowd, Goyito worked the visual and pyrotechnic layer that collective memory remembers as “the show”.
