José Mendoza is credited as sound engineer on the LP “Caracas 750 presenta Sandy Lane” (1986, Atlas label), mixed by Manuel García Navas at the Estudio Fidelis C.A. in Caracas.
Taking a miniteca's continuous mix to vinyl —fifteen tracks chained together as they sounded live, not as a list of separate songs— was a piece of studio work seldom seen on the circuit of the time.
What remains to be documented
The name is a common one and the source offers no further identifying details: neither his career is on record, nor whether he worked on other records of the movement. Risk of homonymy: no other José Mendoza in the archive is attributed to him without confirmation.
