Ramón A. Mantellini B. started out as one of Sandy Lane's principal collaborators and as its official photographer. He was also, as his companions tell it, the group's teacher: first in the classrooms of the Colegio San Ignacio de Loyola and later in the stage when almost all of them came together at the Universidad Simón Bolívar, because he was always the best student of them all.
The third miniteca
His move from collaborator to full member happened for one specific reason: to create the third of the Sandy Lane minitecas. The group came to operate three crews at once, and he was part of that expansion.
An archive still to be located
The official photographer of an eighties miniteca is, today, a key piece of the heritage: his negatives are the material that makes it possible to document what words only describe. The whereabouts of his photographic archive are not on record.
