What is on record
Around 1986, in Los Chorros (Caracas), the friends Abelardo, David, Jussepe and Wladimir kept a miniteca called Weekend as a hobby. At fifteen, Antonio José Azócar “DJ AJD” —with an entry in this collection— joined it, receiving there the guidance of the discjockey Octavio on how to mix and handle the equipment.
It is a typical case of the movement's seedbed: the neighborhood miniteca, built out of passion, from which the professionals of the big houses emerged.
