What is on record

Daniel Salas, “DJ Danny”, appears linked to the Miniteca Hot Way (“La Imbatible en Mezclas”), born in 1982 in the Caprenco district of Ciudad Bolívar, Bolívar state. His documented contribution is one of authorship: the entry for Hot Way, published in the MiniTK Archive, states that the article was told and written by Daniel “DJ Danny” Salas, drawing on the testimony of Ashley González and on material from La Revista de las Minitecas.

That role places him as the chronicler of the miniteca he was part of in the Venezuelan southeast; his alias “DJ Danny” also indicates his standing as a discjockey of the Ciudad Bolívar scene.

The house shirt

His belonging to Hot Way does not rest on the account alone: he wears it. In the booth he wears the miniteca's green shirt, embroidered with “DJ Danny Salas” on the left chest and “Hot Way” on the right — the uniform with which the minitecas identified their own onstage.

He goes on mixing with two turntables and vinyl on nights of eighties music, without having changed either format or name.
