Manuel was part of the booth of The Rainbow, the miniteca born in Coro, Falcón state, in 1984, and received the Fay-Lan de Oro award, Changa version, 2004-2005. He shared the roster with Pedro Primera, Wilmer, Pucho Hernández, Óscar, La Mente, Rapper, Fantasma, Ivis and Alí López.
About the award
The Fay-Lan de Oro (also written “Faylan de Oro” / “Fai-lan de Oro”) is a Venezuelan ceremony honoring discjockeys and minitecas, with categories by style —among them the Changa version— and editions documented from the early 2000s to recent years. That the competition and its Changa version exist is corroborated externally; that Manuel was its winner in 2004-2005 is, for now, an attribution of the magazine, without independent one-to-one corroboration.
