Origins in Coro
From the 1970s onward a musical movement begins in Venezuela that takes shape through small minitecas which, together with radio, become the most complete and effective way of spreading music to large masses of young people. By the 1980s this movement reaches the interior of the country with greater force, and as proof of it a miniteca is born in Falcón state, specifically in the city of Coro, that would come to be recognized nationally and internationally as a powerhouse of mobile sound.
The idea comes from a young man drawn to music and to the capital's miniteca movement: Francisco Marcone, who with great effort began to assemble, with home equipment made by Technics, a miniteca whose lighting amounted to two spider lights and two worm lights he built himself. The dream came true in 1984 under the name The Rainbow, which played for the first time that same year at the Hostería Los Médanos, at a private party.
