Vinyl breaks the billion barrier
Vinyl sales in the US topped $1 billion in 2025 — the first time since 1983.

The format that made the minitecas spin is back with golden-age numbers: according to the RIAA's annual report, vinyl sales in the United States topped one billion dollars in 2025 — the first time since 1983 — with 46.8 million units and nineteen consecutive years of growth.
Vinyl today sells three times as much as the CD. For a house that documents acetates, covers and Venezuelan pressings, the news tastes like poetic justice.
