Alfredo Gouveia
The promoter of Saxon
The man who answered for Saxon outside the booth: promoter and sponsor of the Puerto Ordaz miniteca — and, later, owner of the Glass Club, the discotheque in the center of the city.

Every big miniteca had a figure who did not appear in the booth but held it up. At Saxon, the one from Puerto Ordaz, that role was filled by Alfredo Gouveia: promoter and sponsor of the crew, the owner of a bakery, who —according to the testimony of Leonardo “Cara de Perro” Marquez, the man responsible for the technical side— answered for whatever got damaged and for the heavy investments.
His place in the crew was set down in print: the Archive keeps the business card of the Miniteca Saxon in his name, with the embossed blue logo. And it was set down in the photographs too — at the assembly of the booth cabinet, beside the pickup truck of the tours, and even on the car lettered “Nº 4 Alfredo” with which the crew returned the gesture.
