José Lino Vaamonde S., trained at the Colegio La Salle La Colina, is remembered by the community as the technical genius behind Sandy Lane's sonic character. His work on mixing consoles, crossovers, multi-way routing and dynamic protection made it possible to reach levels of definition and punch that were unusual for the era.
Key contributions
He designed and tuned custom signal chains: precise band splitting, a balance between power and fidelity, real headroom for touring, and a calibration philosophy based on testing, critical listening and fine corrections. That technical standard was later adopted by other crews.
