Johnny Cabrera led the creation and expansion of Betelgeuse (1977–1997), professionalizing finance, logistics and production in order to take the miniteca format to mass-scale productions.
Integration and strategy
His vision articulated a stellar bloc with Betelgeuse at its axis. In February 1984 the purchase of Sandy Lane —with its slogan “La Consentida”— was completed, along with the incorporation into its ranks of Carlos Bóveda “Charly”, who had been that crew's discjockey (now DJ) for more than seven years. The alliances with The Drop were also strengthened, consolidating the remembered “Cinturón/Constelación de Orión”, which raised technical standards (audio, lights, booths), route management and press presence.
