“El Portugués” and the continuity of Hot Music from 1996

In 1996 the reins of Hot Music passed from the Abreu family to Manuel Miranda and Carmen de Miranda. Under their management the miniteca kept up its expansion and held its place as one of the most solid in the country: the crew born in San Félix in 1980 went on playing for more than twenty years under the new direction.
On the Ciudad Bolívar and Ciudad Guayana circuit Manuel Miranda is known as “El Portugués,” and it was he who moved the Hot Music operation to his house in Ciudad Bolívar. In the region he is also linked to other brands —among them Sono Power and Zona Power—, and in August 2018 he was adding yet another miniteca to his name: his was the career of an owner of several crews, not just one.
