The Club de Comercio is one of the oldest social institutions of Ciudad Bolívar, in Bolívar state. Its origins go back to the 19th century —it is linked to the old “Club de los Alemanes”— and for decades it was a nerve center of the city's social life, with ballroom dances on the notable dates. In a second stage (the middle of the 20th century) it put up premises of its own with a swimming pool, a bar and a parking lot. Its history is documented by the Cámara de Comercio of Bolívar state and by local chronicles.
Its place in Cultura Miniteka
The magazine mentions it among the settings of the gatherings of minitecas of the 1980s in Ciudad Bolívar, alongside names of the Bolívar circuit of the era such as Hot Way, Scooby Doo, Roseland and The Fashion. It is a mention of context: no dates, bills or results of those gatherings are on record in the available sources. Events are not invented.
