The beginnings

Oscar Leal, born in Caracas, Venezuela, is an advertising graduate of the Instituto Nuevas Profesiones, a merchant and a professional discjockey (now DJ). With more than four decades of experience, he has been a pioneer of vinyl mixing in Latin America, consolidating a legacy that fuses technique, passion and spectacle.

Coming from a family of communicators and artists —his parents journalists, one sister a radio announcer and another an actress—, Leal grew up immersed in the world of entertainment. From the age of 16 he began providing the music at school parties with vinyl records and cassettes, adding videos on Betamax and VHS, which marked the start of a career that would soon evolve toward the creation of a miniteca of his own.
