World DJ Day is celebrated from the Archive

Every March 9 the world celebrates World DJ Day, and the Archive commemorates it with what is its own: the memory of the discjockeys —just like that, in one word, as it was said in the sixties, seventies and eighties— who made the craft a Venezuelan legend before the initials existed.

The collection “Un Mixshow, Un Nombre” gathers more than ninety of those figures, from the miniteca booths to the radio stations, and the site's blog devotes its feature article to the history of the day and the craft.
