A “Window on Manhattan” in Caracas
Opened on November 14, 1983 — an icon of the CC Concresa, Caracas.
History and founding
New York New York opened its doors on November 14, 1983 in the Centro Comercial Concresa (southeast Caracas). It was born with the ambition of offering a “window on Manhattan” in the capital: a room with avant-garde musical curation, impeccable production and high-standard service that soon made it a national point of reference.
Concept and technical hallmark
Its proposal combined sober decor, extraordinary lighting and a sound system known for its punch and its definition. The booth, raised and efficient, was conceived for premieres, remixes and themed nights, with a precise reading of the dance floor and fluid continuity between genres (disco, boogie, new wave, early electronic styles).
