Soul Discoteque appears among the 8 finalist minitecas (out of 60 shortlisted from across Caracas) on the official poster of the Primera Guerra de Minitecas del Poliedro, held on Sunday 1 July 1979 at the Poliedro de Caracas.

The press of the day reports that, in the middle of its performance, its cables were disconnected from the Audiorama central unit, an incident that made it into the chronicle of that day.

The discjockey who appears in them is identified in the Archive as José Lentini, one of the group's lead discjockeys; the entry for the Primera Guerra de Minitecas, in the Classics at War collection, publishes another shot from that same performance.

The spelling of the name

The official poster writes “Soul Discotheque”; in the usage of the collection and of the magazine it appears as “Soul Discoteque.” “Soul Discoteque” is kept as the name of the entry and the poster's variant is noted.
