Alfredito Martínez is remembered in the miniteca scene as “the smallest (or youngest) discjockey in Venezuela”: he debuted in the booth of the miniteca ZC “La del Control Total” at barely 11 or 12 years old. He is the brother of Ángel Martínez “Ángel Matt”, ZC's star discjockey, who trained him and introduced him to the audience.
According to the account of the time, Alfredito was shown in a competition against front-line minitecas —Betelgeuse and New York People—, astonishing everyone with his age and his work in the booth.
