What is on record

David Pérez Lazo appears among the discjockeys of New York New York “La New York”, according to the roster in La Revista de las Minitecas (p. 14).

His name also appears, in more detail, in the CMTK archive itself: the entry for Gabriel Galdo (collection “One Mixshow, One Name”) describes him as founder of the miniteca Power Music and as having joined New York People, where he acted as a mentor: he took Galdo onto his team, taught him mixing and music programming techniques and trained him by pulling records at random for him to improvise with. Galdo went so far as to say: “I owe David everything I was as a DJ”. In that period, David Pérez Lazo appears as one of the reference discjockeys of New York People, alongside Alfredo Mena, Ricardo Espinosa and Galdo himself.
