Note on the overlap with Waldemaro Martínez

“La Revista de las Minitecas” lists La Musiteca among the radio programs made by Waldemaro Martínez — the announcer has his own entry in this same Voices collection —; radio-memory sources credit the production of the show to Pedro Del Campo. The two claims are not mutually exclusive — a long-running program could have had a different producer and different voices at different stages — but the exact distribution of roles is still pending documentary confirmation. It is recorded as a note on an external discrepancy; it is not resolved by inventing.

In the booth too

Before radio and alongside it, Pedro Del Campo was on the other side: he appears on the discjockey roster of the miniteca New York New York “La New York,” one of the most emblematic in the country. And a period photograph places him at the fourth Guerra del Poliedro of July 18, 1980, captioned “Music Factory segundo lugar, DJ Pedro del Campo” — the night Music Factory came second, behind Betelgeuse.

That double trade explains his radio role better than any résumé: the man who took the mixes of the minitecas to the AM dial came from making them on the dance floor.
