What is on record
“DJ Diablo” appears among the discjockeys who made up the booth of Maui Discplay —a miniteca/mobile discotheque conceived by Arturo Gutiérrez in the mid-1980s—, according to the chronicle in “La Revista de las Minitecas”. The name has a live entry in the MiniTK Archive (collection “Minitecas: Mobile Power”), where it is on record that its official voice for more than fifteen years was Waldemaro Martínez and that DJ Diablo, DJ Tony, DJ Ranses, DJ Javier, DJ Niño and DJ Edy Betancourt passed through its booth. “DJ” is kept because it is an alias.
