The Saxon booth
Jorge “Manota” Pacheco was one of the discjockeys of the Miniteca Saxon, the one from Puerto Ordaz: the crew's entry records him joining the booth opened by Amílcar Pino, together with Ely Contreras, in the years when Saxon sounded heavy all over Guayana. The photograph heading this article shows the two of them hard at work.
The Club Ítalo festival
His name also appears in the account of Enrique Rojas: at the first Festival de Disc Jockeys of the Club Ítalo Venezolano, Rojas took first place together with Jorge “Manota” Pacheco — a crossing of two booths of the same Guayana generation.
Still playing
Decades later he is still in charge of booths at events such as the NM Modelos fashion show, and he keeps the bond with his generation: the Archive preserves his reunion with Heider Hernández “DJ Heider”, discjockey of the Glass Club.
