The starting fact

“La Revista de las Minitecas” (DJ Vladimir Medina edition) places Alejandro Blanco on the panel of judges of the Primera Guerra de Minitecas — a guerra de minitecas, the sound clashes of the movement — held at the Poliedro de Caracas in 1979, the founding event that pitted the great minitecas of the time against one another and remained the cornerstone of the movement's memory.

The open question was whether Blanco was in fact a figure of radio or merely a loose name on the panel. The external research clears it up.

What the external research confirms

Alejandro Blanco was indeed an announcer, and one of the recognized ones. The independent survey of the period made by cuandoerachamo.com expressly lists him among the announcers that the minitecas established and who remained active and respected: “esta época también arrojó y consolidó locutores que aún hoy día están activos y son respetados; por ejemplo: Waldemaro Martínez, Iván Loscher, Jesús Leandro, Enrique Hoffman, Alejandro Blanco.” That is, he appears on the same list as the major voices of the movement — several of them already documented in this collection.

His presence on the panel of the Primera Guerra de Minitecas (1979) is therefore consistent with his profile: he was not an occasional amateur but a professional announcer called upon to judge the minitecas at their first great tournament. The magazine cites him alongside other weighty judges such as Jesús Leandro and Enrique Hoffman.

The entry remains in progress because, with his role as an announcer confirmed, the biographical detail is still missing — stations, programs, dates — as is material from the protagonist himself.

The announcer “Alejandro Blanco” who is still active in radio and the one the magazine places on the panel of 1979 are the same person: so the CMTK Archive confirms. It is the continuous career of a professional announcer who, since the era of the minitecas, has remained current and respected.
