The starting fact

“La Revista de las Minitecas” (DJ Vladimir Medina edition) records Michelle Taffin as one of the two official voices of Loboteca Flash — the miniteca of the discjockey (now DJ) Javier Valera (“DJ Z”) — alongside Neila Fuentes. The division of registers was deliberate: against Fuentes's sensual, adult voice, Taffin brought “a more youthful, teenage voice,” which gave freshness to the miniteca's jingles.

The magazine also identifies her as the daughter of Petter Taffin, described as “a great friend” and the owner of Rumbera.

What the external research confirms (and what it does not)

The family link has external support. Rumbera Network, a Venezuelan chain of FM stations, was founded in Valencia (Carabobo state) on August 21, 1994 by Peter Taffin Jr., a fact gathered in public records about the station. The surname Taffin is therefore indeed associated with Rumbera, which backs up the filiation the magazine declares; Loboteca Flash, in fact, moved in the circle of La Mega and Rumbera Network.

A note on spelling: the magazine writes “Petter”; in Rumbera's records it appears as “Peter Taffin Jr.” The CMTK Archive does not unify the two forms without confirmation that this is exactly the same person, although the link points that way.

What is not on record in external sources is a biography of Michelle Taffin's own: no material has been located documenting her career as an announcer, her age, or any other recordings. Her presence in the archive is limited, for now, to this role as the youthful voice of Loboteca Flash. That is why the entry remains in progress: what is on record is set down, without filling in the gaps.
