What is on record

La Revista de las Minitecas (DJ Vladimir Medina Edition) names Lony Ortega among the “mkdoceros”: the troop of collaborators whom the miniteca MK II —born in 1983 as Banana Power inc.— thanks in writing for their selfless, unpaid work. MK II has its own entry in the Minitecas: Mobile Power portfolio of this Archive.

The CMTK Archive also links him to the discotheque 1900 My Way, in the Centro Ciudad Comercial Tamanaco in Caracas, which has its own entry in Legendary Discotheques. The role he played there —resident, guest or part of the team— and the years he spent there remain under verification.

His bond with the generation of the minitecas did not close with the era. Decades later he still turns up at the gatherings of the movement's discjockeys, alongside names such as Salvatore Schiera, of Betelgeuse, and Rubén Guevara, of Miniteca Yumbo, both with entries in this Archive.

His name alternates between the spellings “Lony” and “Lonny” depending on the source; the form with a single n is used here, which is the one in the magazine and in his own account.
