The voice of the minitecas' station

Tinedo Guía (Caracas, April 28, 1943) is among the leading announcers of Caracas 750 Dinámica, the AM youth station that in the 80s wove alliances with minitecas such as Betelgeuse, Sandy Lane and New York People, and that organized guerras de minitecas, the sound clashes of the movement, at the Poliedro de Caracas. His career in the Venezuelan media spans more than four decades and includes spells at Radio Caracas Radio, RCTV, Venezolana de Televisión and the Unión Radio network.

El Proyecto 750

In 1986, Caracas 750 launched “El Proyecto 750”: runs of 36 songs with no commercial breaks, in three broadcasts a day during the holiday season, with the best continuous music mixed by the most prominent minitecas of the capital — Empire, Sky Way, New York People, Betelgeuse, Sandy Lane and The Drop. The radio memory of Caracas records Tinedo Guía and Héctor Molina as the presenters of the show, which has its own entry in the Allies On Air collection of this Archive. A 1986 audio excerpt from the program survives digitized in online archives.
